I Don’t Want To Live Like a Candle

السلام  عليكم  ورحمة  الله  وبركاته

بارك  الله  فيكم

When I got the ideas for my writing especially about Islam precept, I always think, can I do this message? Can I advise myself before other? Can I get benefit from my post? Can I say the truth to myself?
I don’t want to blame other, and advise others directly. I should advise myself first. I will not guide other before I could guide myself. For what I order other to do this, to do that, but I forget myself.
For example, I will not talk about patience, because I’m impatient. I will not share my thoughts about “Anger” because I can’t control my anger well (I’m struggling to be a patient person and to be a muslimah who can control the anger well). I also will not share about marriage, because I can’t give good example from mine. If I have to post about these topics, I usually ask my friends thoughts and will take from other references that suitable with the topics, without putting my mind.

I still remember these verses:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوْا لِمَ تَقُوْلُوْنَ مَالَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ. كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِنْدَ  الله  أَنْ  تَقُوْلُوْا  مَا لَا  تَفْعَلُوْنَ

O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do? (2) Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do? (3)
[As-Saff : 2-3]

It lighted surround, but it burns itself.
I lighted surround, but it burns itself.

In other words, I want to say that I don’t want to live like a candle. A candle with its light can light surround, but look it burns itself. A man who always guide others to Islam well, to establish prayer, to pay zakat, to do shaum in Ramadhan, to give shodaqoh and do good deeds, but he forgets himself, so he doesn’t get any benefits from his words, he can’t light himself. He is likes a candle.
I hope I can lighted myself, my family and this Ummah. Ameen!

The Voices

In the darkness

She heard a voice.

Wake up! Wake up!

Come to your Lord!

Raise your hands up!

Ask Allah’s guidance.

I’m so sleepy…….

She heard the other voice

You’re right!

You did so much  works

In your day,

Sleep well!

Have a great dream!

“Oh, alright, I’m really sleepy.”

Wake up, please!

It’s your best time

To come to your Lord,

Do you think you’ll have your tomorrow?

What do you mean?

Who are you?

Who I am, it isn’t important

For you,

I just advise you,

Your soul isn’t in your hands

But  Allah, who keeps your soul,

Come to Your Lord

Right now,

Ask everything to Him,

Allah will make your life easy

And guides you well.

If you give your love

To Allah,

Allah will love you more,

More than you

Wake up! Take the ablution

Then make prayer.

She opened her eyes,

Seeing around

Looking the voices

She didn’t find them.

Only the darkness in her room.

Alhamdulillah ya Allah

You give me a chance

Guide me always to Your  way!

Al-Muzzammil :1-4

O you who wraps himself  [in clothing]. (1) Arise [to pray] the night, except for a little. (2) Half of it- or subtract from it a little. (3) Or add to it, and recite the Qur’an with measured recitation. (4)
