Hand Lettering (15)- Be Patient

When I recited Qur’an surah Al-Ma’aarij, I found the verse that explains about patience. It’s verse 5 in surah Al-Ma’aarij. And I’ve ever read there are so many verses talk and order us to be patient people.

The translation of surah Al-Ma'aarij verse 5, "So be patient with gracious patience."
The translation of surah Al-Ma’aarij verse 5, “So be patient with gracious patience.”

For me, “Patient” is something easy to say, but it’s hard to do. After fasting in last Ramadhan, I try to control myself to be patient in facing the hardships in this life. I hope I can follow this guidance. Insha’Allah.

The Richest Person In The World

Assalamu’alaikum my lovely friends!

May Allah bless you all! ❤

As I checked emails in my mailbox, I found this awesome email from Merciful Servant Channel. And I thought, it was good to share in my blog. It was about “The Richest Person In The World.”

Most of Muslims in this world have known about it. The answer is ……….

5. Amansio Ortega, Spain [$ 64.5 billion]

4. Warren Buffett, USA [$ 72.7 billion]

3. Carlos Slim Helu, Mexico [ $ 77.1 billion]

2. Bill Gates, USA [$ 79.2 billion]

1.The man who always prays two rakaah before fajr.

“The Two (sunnah) rakaah of fajr are better than the world and whatever it contains.” [Prophet Muhammad SAW]

As Moslem, I have no doubt about it. My life isn’t only in this world, but also in hereafter. Yes, I need money to recover my life, but finding money isn’t my main purpose.

Islam has guided us how to find money with good way, and use it also in good way, with good intention.

I’ll put a few verses here,

“Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you. (1) Until you visit the graveyards.(2) No! you are going to know.(3) Then no! You are going to know.(4) No! if you only knew with knowledge of certainty….(5) You will surely see the Hell fire.(6) Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.(7) Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.”(8) [At-Takathur 1-8]

May Allah gives us ease to answer about pleasure in that Day. Ameen!

There is No Reason to be Arrogant People

Where are We?
Where is The Earth?
Where is The Sun?
Where is The Biggest Planet?
Where is The Biggest Star?
Where is our Galaxy?
We are like particles
In this Universe
So, there is no reason
To be arrogant people

“And do not walk upon the earth exultantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height.” Al-Israa: 37

Day Four: Identify Your Audience

Today’s Assignment: publish a post you’d like your ideal audience member to read, and include a new-to-you element in it.

I don’t put
My self-esteem
In my wealth
Nor in my status
But I put it
In my manner
Thus, I should
Beautify my character.

Hadith about character.
Hadith about character. The prophet said, “I was only sent to perfect good character.” [al-hakim]

Character is one important element in our lives. Therefore, Islam has taught us about how to beautify the character. I write this topic it doesn’t mean that I have good character, no, of course not my friend. I’m so lack in character. My teacher had ever said to me, “You’re a smart student, but you’re lack in character. You must beautify your manner then you’ll become a great person. I don’t see your brain only, but I will see your character first.” I did remember her words.

Talking about character, our prophet Muhammad SAW is the perfect person with the wonderful character. His character is Qur’an. Masha’Allah!
As Muslim, we’ll find easily the character guidance in Qur’an and hadith, for instance:

Luqman:19
“And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys.”
Hadith:
“The best among you are those who best in character.” [Bukhori]
This is only a simple post about character (akhlaq) where I do struggle to beautify mine.

Be Kind to Our Neighbors!

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

بارك الله فيكم

neighbor

They aren’t our family
Nor our close friends
But we need them in our lives
They’ll help us
First time
When we get hardship
They’ll console us
When we get sadness
Really,
They aren’t our family
Nor our close friends
THEY ARE OUR NEIGHBORS!!!
Be kind to our neighbors
Our prophet has guided us
How to serve them well
Till he said in his hadith,

“Narrated Abu Shuraih:
The Prophet said, “By Allah he does not believe!
By Allah he does not believe!
By Allah he does not believe!”
It was said, “Who is that, O Allah’s Apostle?”
He said, “That person whose neighbor does not feel safe from his evil.”
Sahih Al-Bukhori, volume 8, number 45.

Have You Seen The One Who Denies The Recompense?

السلام  عليكم  ورحمة  الله  وبركاته

Recompense1

I share this post for Muslims because it talks about Muslim who ignores the Islam precept.
I only rewrite the characteristics of this Muslim base on surah Al-Ma’un. It’s very beautiful reminder from Allah for us. Indeed!
Allah has explained clearly about Muslim who does not practice Islam well and called him as “The one who denies the recompense.” Na’udzubillah summa na’udzubillah min dzaalik.

Here are his characteristics:

1. Muslim who drives away the orphan.

As we have known, Allah has commanded us to safe the orphan. Rasulullah was on Orphan, and he had ever said in his hadits,

[Sahl ibn Sa’ad reported: The Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate] Source: Sahih Bukhori 5659.

We will find too in other verses those talk about Orphan, such as in surah Adh-Dhuha verse:9, “So as for the orphan, do not oppress (him).”

2. Muslim who does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

Islam also orders us to help the poor and be kind to them. Still in surah adh-duha, Allah said, “And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].” Adh-dhuha: 10.

Helping the poor it doesn’t mean giving them some money always. There are other ways to help them by giving job and chance to change their lives.
Rasulullah, his sahabas and the great Muslims always help the poor.

3. Muslim who prays but he is headless of his prayer.

Here, I won’t give example from other. I’ll tell about myself. I admit, sometimes I ignore the prayer calling (adzan). When I hear it, sometimes I prefer finishing my work to pray. It’s my lack in practicing Islam. Alhamdulillah, my son usually pray on time especially dzuhur and always reminds the adult in our house to pray directly after adzan. “The Time is for prayer! The time is for prayer!”
When I followed the meeting (during at school 2007-2012), I chose to finish the meeting than prayer. Astaghfirullah!
Am I a good Muslima then, if I always ignore Allah’s orders?
Allah will ask about our prayer first than other deeds. If our prayer good so are the other deeds.

4. Muslim who makes show [of his deed]/ Riya

What’s Riya?
Allah has explained about it in many surah and verses;

“O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury as does one who spends his wealth [only] to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. His example is like that of a [large] smooth stone upon which is dust and is hit by a downpour that leaves it bare. They are unable [to keep] anything of what they have earned. And Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.” Al-Baqoroh:264

Please see, surah An-Nisaa:38 and surah Ali-Imran:188.

5. Muslim who does not want to give any assistance to other

We can’t count how many times Allah orders us to help each other not only to other Muslims but to the humankind, even to the animals.
What a beautiful precept!

“……………And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.” Al-Maidah:5

In Islam, we all are brothers and sisters, masha’Allah. We are like a building. If one of our brothers or sisters feels hurt, so we feel the same. Allah! Allah!
May Allah grant us good manner and good intention to help other for Allah alone, not for getting Paradise, lillahi ta’ala.

I hope I can follow the manner of Rasulullah, “helping someone who has acted badly to him even to someone who wanted kill him. Rasulullah always help all the people.”
I have met some Muslims who would help others by some conditions.

(I don’t talk about job here, because in working we have some conditions. We work and we get paid for it. It’s different! We sell something and we get money for that.)

I ask to myself, “Am I like these people?”
“O Allah, help me, my family and all Muslims in this world to follow Your commands well, only for You! Ameen!”

We worship Allah and obey His rules is not for getting Paradise, but for getting His pleasure.
Paradise and hell are as His reply for our good/bad deeds.

happiness

Just beautiful reminder for me from beautiful Arabic Nasheed!

You who is looking to give “happiness” definition
Do you know what will give you happiness in your life?
You feel frustrated turning right to left
Gather in your palms all your hopes and dreams
And come with all your hearth to all those who are praying
You will find all the happiness in your prayer.

Do you know what my greatest wish is
Oh you who I raise myself to
You will be happy in this life
Your happiness is my happiness.

And what is in your chest that has suffered over time,
And you were unable to gather anything in your life
Don’t let your determination decrease over time,

Let optimism and hope be from your characteristics
And hold up your arms in Dua;
Allah will help!
And go after your livelihood and fulfilling your dreams

Do you know what my greatest wish is
Oh you who I raise myself to
You will be happy in this life
Your happiness is my happiness!

And you who took (committing) in sins lightly
You over indulged and good passed you
(Go and seek) repentance for your sins
The repentance of (those who are) sincere
And begin your life correctly
Happiness and peace will not part from you

Do you know what my greatest wish is
Oh you who I raise myself to
You will be happy in this life
Your happiness is my happiness!

And you who worked hard in both harsh and easy time
Who does not seek retribution except from your Lord
With goodness you travel through all the lands
And helping others is from your most beautiful traits
Do not cry from sadness from any eye
Far Allah will keep you steadfast always

Do you know what my greatest wish is
Oh you who I raise myself to
You will be happy in this life
Your happiness is my happiness!

Nails in the Fence

ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Nails in the Fence.
Nails in the Fence.

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day, the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all, he told to his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finnaly able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, “You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.

You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say “I’m sorry, the wound is still there.”
The little boy then understand how powerful his words were. He looked up at his father and said, “I hope you can forgive me father for the holes I put in you.”
“Of course I can,” said the father.

Please see my other post about “How to Control Our Anger.”

I’d say to you my lovely friends (brothers n sisters) “I hope you can forgive me for the holes I put in you.”

Jazakumullah khoir  for everything !

Homosexual: Is It A Part of Human Rights?

Gay and lesbian are part of modern lifestyle. Some people said like this. If I have to say, these aren’t normal lifestyle. I had never done researches about this issue, I just search verses in Qur’an, special verses those explained about homosexual prohibition. I found clearly about it in surah Hud verse : 77-83.
{I seek Allah’s protection from the harm of the deprived and expelled devil}

Hud : 77
And when Our messengers, [the angels], came to Lot, he was anguished for them and felt for them and felt for them great discomfort and said, “This is a trying day.”

Hud: 78
And his people came hastening to him, and before [this] they had been doing evil deeds. He said, “O my people, these are my daughters: they are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a man of reason?”

Hud : 79
They said, “You have already known that we have not concerning your daughters any claim, and indeed, you know what we want.”
Hud : 80
He said, “If only I had against you some power or could take refuge in a strong support.”

Hud : 81
The angels said, “O Lot, indeed we are messengers of your Lord; [therefore], they will never reach you. So set out with your family during a portion of the night and let not any among you look back-except your wife; indeed, she will be struck by that which strikes them. Indeed, their appointment is [for] the morning. Is not the morning near?”

Hud : 82
So when Our command came, We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of layered hard day, [which were]

Hud :83
Marked from your Lord. And Allah’s punishment is not from the wrongdoers [very] far.

From those verses, we can take the conclusion, that Allah has forbidden the evil deeds. Homosexual is one of evil deeds. So, Allah will never allow it. The true believers hear and obey Allah’s orders.

So, homosexual is not a part of Human rights. Qur’an has answered the question above clearly.

May Allah guide us to His right path! Ameen!

The Signs Of a Hypocrite

“Lie is a root of all sins.”  A friend told me about “Lie.”

If we speak lie, we’ll speak lie at twice to hide our lie. Truthfully, speaking a lie is not easy for the beginner, (LOL). I meant, if someone has never spoken lie, he’ll feels uncomfortable to do the lie. Trust me! (he..he). On the contrary, a lier will enjoys doing it, because it has become his habits. Naudzubillah.

Sometimes, I forget to send salam from my friends to my family. When I remembered, I sent it to my family soon. I know, sending salam from others to my family or to my other friends is a trustworthiness, I have to keep it well. It’s a little thing, but when I betray it, it means I have done one of signs of a hypocrite, right?

I’m sure, you all have known about three signs of a hypocrite. Here are its signs:

عن  ابي  هريرة  رضي  الله  عن  النبي  صلى  الله   عليه  وسلم

ايات  المنافق  ثلاث : إذا  حدث  كذب، وإذا  وعد  أخلف،  وإذا  ائتمن  خان

{متفق  عليه}

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported; Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “There are the signs of a hypocrite: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he betrays his trust.” [Muttafaq ‘Alaih]

May Allah make us as good Muslims who has noble manner, a manner as Rasulullah’s character, hopefully, ameen!
