السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
بارك الله فيكم
If you ask me about Scary story, I’ll answer “Yes, I have.” It was so scary, if I’ve to say, and now I wanna laugh to remember that. Okay, without talking much, here is my night story!
“Ghost,” most people feel afraid of Ghost. I don’t understand, why? Have you seen the ghost? They said, “Never!” So, why do you feel afraid of ghost if you have never seen it. It’s FUNNY!
In 2007. I was a teacher at Ad-Da’wah Islamic Elementary School. That time was my first year in teaching. As a single, I lived and stayed at office for some days. My friend (a sister) and I took sleep at the office or in the house of our headmaster’s mother. We accompanied her in the nights. Actually, her children lived around her house, but no body wanted to accompany her. Some friends told me, their children felt afraid to take a sleep in her big house. Because, long time ago the husband of our headmaster’s mother had a few Jinns. That was why their family didn’t want to sleep there. And they asked the neighbors and us to accompany their mother. (Just the way info, their mother had passed away at the last Syawal 1435 H)
In one night, the headmaster asked me to accompany his mother. I accepted his asking. I prayed Isya. When I prayed in the second rokaat, the electricity was cut, Oh No! It was dark, and I in office. No body accompanied me. “Ya, Allah. What should I do?” It was so scary, I didn’t see anything, and I was in praying. It was impossible to break my prayer. I thought about jinn and ghost. Oh, Noooo!!! No, No, I shouldn’t think and imagine those! Then I concentrated in my prayer, I asked help to Allah alone, I deleted all things about gin and ghost. I read ayah kursy in my sholat. Alhamdulillah, I felt peace. After prayed, the electricity was normal again, Alhamdulillah ya Allah! I cleaned my sweat. Huh, it was so bad! Bad time!
After prayed Isha, I went to her house. No body at home. I said salam (greeting), and I didn’t hear any voice in that house. Then I messaged my headmaster asking about his mother, he said that his mother had gone to Bekasi. “O my God! How could they didn’t inform me about that from the first.” They invited me to take sleep in their house, but I refused their invitation, yes I felt shy if I had to stay in theirs.
I decided to back to the office and spent my night there. Alone, I stayed at there. I messaged my friend and his house was so near to office, I told him that I stayed at office alone. He wondered and worried about me. I said, “Insha’Allah everything will be okay!”
Finally, I got the way to exorcise my fear. I remembered to my dad’s advice, “Jinn is one of Allah’s creation. Jinn has duty like us (mankind) to worship Allah alone. Do not feel afraid of them. Allah didn’t create ghost, vampire, zombie. If you see them, so believe they are jinns who have transformed to be other form. Allah is our creator. Just ask His help.”
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْاِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوْنِ
“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” [Adh-Dhariyat: 56]
I believed in Allah, so I asked a lot to Allah to help me and to give me peace.
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِيْنِ
وَأَعُوذُبِكَ رَبِّ أَنْ يَحْضُرُوْنِ
“And say, “My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me.” [Al-Mu’minun:97-98]
I read Qur’an, then played nasheed cassette, It was so funny, really, I slept on the floor using prayer mat only.In each one hour I woke up to play nasheed again. He..he. I got the messages from my friends. They prayed for me too.
I felt, the night was very looooooong. I waited the morning impatiently. “Morning, oh morning! Come to me please!” Ha..ha. I couldn’t sleep well. Indeed! Can you imagine that? Sleeping in the office alone! I did. Alhamdulillah! There was nothing bad! I didn’t meet ghost or his friends, he….he.. Alhamdulillah!
I had ever heard the stories from other teachers, there were jinns there, in the trees, in the office and other classes.
When the morning came, I took ablution for prayer Subuh/ Fajr. Alhamdulillah, I was okay.
After that day, I received many questions from my friends (fellow teachers) asking about my night experience. I told them!
“I couldn’t sleep well in last night!”
They replied, “We will never want to sleep in the office like you, Miss Eva!” 😀
It was my night story, what about you, my friends?
