No Racism In Islam

Stop Racism!

Racism is still a huge issue today.

I often ask to myself,  “why do some of human hate the other nations?”

“Why do some people insult the other ethnics?”

Why……..?

Why……..?

I searched, then searched in Qur’an and hadith about Racism.

Is there Racism in Islam?

Rasulullah has said in his hadith, “An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, and a white man has no superiority over a black man, nor a black man over a white man- except by piety and good actions.”

My  friends in Islam!

I’m sure, you have known about Sayyidina Hazraat Bilal. But, in my opinion it’s good if I write about him a little here.

“Sayyidina Hazrat Bilal was an Abyssinian slave belonging to a Jew called Umayya Bin Khalf, who was a bitter enemy of Islam. He embraced Islam in its early days, during times when the non-believers would continuously harass the Muslims and never allow them a moment of peace. Hazrat Bilal’s love for Allah and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will always remain a perfect example of devotion and total submission.

Ahad, Ahad- there is only one Allah.

In the sweltering heat under the Arabian skies, Hazrat Bilal’s love for Allah shone brighter than the sun itself. So strong was it that he could not conceal it despite the punishment and torture afflicted on him by his cruel master.

There were times when a large boulder would be place upon his chest as he lay on the scorching sand, his ribs been  crushed under the weight. Yet  the words “Ahad! Ahad! (There is only one Allah!)” were constantly repeated by Hazrat Bilal, so strong was his faith and love.

His Jewish master would insult him and threaten him to denounce Islam, beat him, whip him and humiliate him on the streets of Makkah, but nothing was able to shake Hazrat Bilal’s heart. He put his life and soul into the Hands of Allah, and there it would forever remain.

Subhanallah, how great the faith of Hazrat Bilal was!

He was famous as Muazzin of Rasulullah. Rasulullah has said, “Bilal is one of my great sahabas who will enter a paradise in the early time than the others.” Subhanallah!

Within Islam, every human are same, one thing that makes different is Taqwa. A slave will becomes a great man, if he has great faith, good deeds, and noble character. When Allah loves His servant, what should we call this man? He really deserve called as a righteous man or great Muslim. Hazrat Billal was one of great Muslims who received guaranteed Jannah (Paradise) from his Lord Allah The Most Merciful. Subhanallah!

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Allah does not look at your figures, nor at you attire but He looks at your hearts and accomplishments.” (Sahih Muslim)

Then in Surah Al-Hujurat: 11, we will find Islam has taught about equality of human.

“O  you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one’s] faith. And whoever does not repent – then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

How beautiful Islam is!

We have no doubt about this deen.

If, we find among Muslims racism, the wrong is not Islam, but the Muslims. Islam is perfect, Muslim not. We have to learn Islam by reading Qur’an, hadith and learn to great Ulama. So we’ll find the beautiful of Islam, the amazing of its guidance. Indeed!

May Allah strengthen our iman forever and guide us to His right way always, ameen!
