لا تحتقر من دونك فلكل شيئ مزية

قبل عامين، كنت معلمة في معهد الدعوة الإسلامية. علمت دروسا كثيرة، كنت ولية فصل في الصف الرابع.

ذات يوم، رأيت بنفسي أربعة طلاب احتقروا طالبا آخر صديقهم. وقالوا له ” انت أسود، ووجهك قبيح وانت من الجاهلين.” كرهت بذالك القول، فقلت لهم ،” لا يجوز ان تقولوا هذا، هل تشعرون انكم خير منه؟ قد نهى الإسلام هذا الفعل، هل تتذكرون هذه الاية؟ قال الله تعلى فى السورة التين ، لقد خلقنا الإنسان في احسن تقويم.” فسكتوا

فى رأيى انّ صديقكم له مزية أيضا، هو يستطيع ان يصور بالكمبيوتر. هل تستطيعون ان تصروا مثله؟ اذكروا هذا القول يا أبنائى، لا تحتقروا من دونكم فلكل شيئ مزية

فهمتم؟ فهمنا استاذة. تبسمت ودعوت الله تعلى سيجعلكم جميعا من الصالحين

Translation in English:

Two years ago, I was a teacher at Ad-Da’wah Islamic Elementary School. I taught a few lessons there and hold the fourth grade.

One day, I saw by myself,  four of my students insulted their friend, they said to him, “You’re black, you have bad face and you’re idiot!” Their friend didn’t say anything. I was really sure that he felt uncomfortable with that word.

I really hated when I heard that bad word, then I advise them, “O,  my students, don’t do bad act like this. Do you feel that you’re better than him? Islam has forbidden it. Do you still remember this verse, We have certainly created man in the best of stature.”

They were silent, then I continued my talk, “In my opinion, your friend has a talent that you don’t know yet. He can draw using paint apps in his computer. Can you draw like him? You must remember this beautiful word, Do not despise those who seem to be weaker than you are!”

“Do you understand?”

“We do, Madam.”

I smiled at them, then prayed, May Allah make you all as righteous sons. Ameen.
