KNOWING ALLAH AND HIS BEAUTIFUL NAMES [ ASMAUL HUSNA ]

Ashadu an laa ilaaha illa Allah, wa ashadu anna muhammadan Rasulullah. Rodiitu billahi Robba, wa bil islami diina, wa bi muhammadin nabiyya wa rosuula.

Allah The Almighty is our Creator. The word [ lafadz ] Allah is from Himself. Allah named Him with Allah. Lafadz Allah can’t translated to another language, ie; God, Goddess, Jesus, or the other words. This word [ lafadz Allah ] was named Lafdzul Jalalah. Let’s see the verses below. These verses explain the word Allah.

Al Qasas verse 70 :

Sahih International

And He is Allah ; there is no deity except Him. To Him is [due all] praise in the first [life] and the Hereafter. And His is the [final] decision, and to Him you will be returned.

Taha verse 14:

Sahih International

Indeed, I am Allah . There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.

An naml  verse 9:

Sahih International

O Moses, indeed it is I – Allah , the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

 

Allah only asks us to learn about this universe and all of things in it. Allah doesn’t ask us to learn his shape. Or we shouldn’t ask, where is Allah?, Can we see Allah? What is He likes? How big is He? Is Allah male or female? And the other stupid questions.It’s enough for us to believe Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. Don’t be like ummah of Moses and the other worst ummah before us. And never be like Pharaoh, who admitted him as God. Na’udzubillah summa na’udzubillah min dzaalik. They didn’t believe Allah. They always asked “ where is Allah?, Show Him to us, then we’ll believe Him!”. We can see their arrogances in the verses below.

Al baqoroh verse 55:

Sahih International

And [recall] when you said, “O Moses, we will never believe you until we see Allah outright”; so the thunderbolt took you while you were looking on.

In these verses, Allah explains about Pharaoh’s arrogance. Let’s see An-Nazi’at verse 21-25:

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ

فَقَالَ أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَىٰ

فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَىٰ

Sahih International

But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.( 21 )Then he turned his back, striving.(22)And he gathered [his people] and called out. (23) And said, “I am your most exalted lord.” (24) So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. (25)

Allah is the Name of The Lord , The Exalted. It is said that Allah is The Greatest Name of Allah, because it is referred to when describing Allah by the various attributes. It’s called  Asma’ul Husna.We can learn His beautiful names from this beautiful video:
